Adding email addresses to your "safe list"

To be sure that messages from specific e-mail addresses are not sent to your Junk or Bulk e-mail folder, you can add them to your "Safe List." Below are links to instructions for some popular email clients.

One thing you can do regardless of which e-mail system you use is to add the following domains and e-mail addresses to your address book:

  1. Click Options and select More Options from the drop down menu.
  2. Click Junk E-Mail Protection.
  3. Click Safe Senders.
  4. Type in, and then click Add.


Version 9.0
  1. Click on Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail.
  2. On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk E-Mail Guard.
  3. Select Safe List.
  4. In the space provided under "Add people to the safe list", enter the address
  5. Click Add.
Earlier Versions of MSN
  1. Click on E-mail settings.
  2. On the E-mail settings screen, click Junk Mail.
  3. Select Safe List.
  4. Click Add an item to this list.
  5. When the Add To Safe List box appears, enter the address
  6. Click Add.


  1. Open your Yahoo email inbox.
  2. Click on Options (top right of screen) then select Mail Options from the drop down menu.
  3. Click on Filters.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. in filter name box, type Vindale Research
  6. In the top row, labeled 'From header:', make sure contains is selected in the drop-down menu.
  7. Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu and type in
  8. Where it says Then ... Move the message to:', select Inbox from the pull-down menu.
  9. Click the Add Filter button.


  1. Click on the Settings Menu in the Menu Bar along the top of the screen.
  2. Along the left side of the screen, click Spam controls
  3. Choosing Allow mail from all senders will disable your Spam filters entirely. This will ensure that all mail from everyone, including Vindale Research, will get to your inbox. If you choose this option, you can stop here. If you would like to leave the filtering on, but specify particular senders who are to be considered "not spam", continue to the next step.
  4. Click on the drop down menu next to Spam Filters by Address and select Custom if you would like to specifically ensure that emails from Vindale Research get to your inbox.
  5. Click the Allow Mail from radio button, type in the box and click the + sign.


The best way to prevent messages from being filtered as SPAM is to add to your address book.

  1. Click on Contacts along the left side of the screen.
  2. Click Add contact, located in the top right corner of the Contacts window
  3. Type Vindale Research for the name, and for the primary email. You can leave the rest of the fields blank.
  4. Click Save.

McAfee Spam Killer

Spam Killer works along with Outlook, Outlook Express, Outlook 98, MSN/Hotmail, and POP3 accounts to block unsolicited commercial e-mail before it arrives in your inbox. To make sure your Vindale Research e-mail passes through you need to add us to your Personal Friends list, or Global Friends List.

  1. Click the Messages tab, and then click the Blocked E-mail or Accepted E-mail tab. Or, from the SpamKiller menu in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, select View Blocked Messages to open the Blocked E-mail page for that account. The Blocked E-mail or Accepted E-mail page appears.
  2. Click Add a Friend.
  3. In the Address box, type to add it to the Friends List.
  4. Type Vindale Research in the Name box.
  5. Select single email address from the Friend type box.
  6. Click OK.


If you're using NetZero, you can ensure that your Vindale Research emails are delivered to your Inbox by setting your Junk Mail Filtering Preferences. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Options button within the email on the web
  2. Click on the Safe Lists link
  3. The Safe List screen will appear and display your current Safe List
  4. Add to the safe list.

Norton AntiSpam

AntiSpam works along with Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape and Yahoo (POP3), MSN/Hotmail to block UCE unsolicited commercial e-mail before it arrives in your inbox. To make sure our e-mails pass through you need to add us to your Personal Friends list, or Global Friends List. Here's how:

  1. Start up Norton AntiSpam, Click the Status & Settings tab
  2. Click the Norton AntiSpam button or link.
  3. Click the Configure Button.
  4. Click the Allowed List tab.
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. In the Address box, enter
  7. Click the OK button.


  1. Click on Address Book.
  2. When your Address Book opens, click the Add button.
  3. On the Add Contact screen, find the Internet Information box.
  4. Enter the address into the top Email box.
  5. Click Save.


  1. Open your browser and go to this page:
  2. Log into your SpamCop account.
  3. Click on the Options icon in the toolbar.
  4. Under Mail Management, click SpamCop Tools.
  5. Select Manage your personal whitelist.
  6. Near the bottom, where it reads "Click here to add to your whitelist", click on Click here.
  7. Enter the address in the first empty slot.
  8. Click Submit
